3. Photos of stick bite position with full face.

The stick-bite and the stick-bite photos are also critical for us to design and create beautiful restorations that are in harmony with the patient's existing dentition. It is very hard for the ceramists to know the exact cant of the patient's teeth and consequent smile. The stick-bite allows the case to be mounted accurately to best represent the patient's bite. In this manner, we can better visualize the shape and direction of the natural smile. Photos of the stick-bite should be headshots with the upper and lower border as parallel to the stick and the interpupillary line as possible.

4. Photos of temporaries, full face including eyes, also 1:2.

Clear photos of the temporaries give the ceramists a solid understanding of what is trying to be achieved. With pictures, the doctor is able to describe changes he/she would like to see to the temporaries, and the ceramist can use that information to apply it to the final restorations.

5. Photos of temporaries, eye to chin relaxed lip position. Profile shot.

Having additional close up and profile pictures of the temporaries increases clarity of restoration goals.
